Dad and Sis on new 1650 with Oliver 565 4 bottom semi-mounted plow. See the shiny first moldboard? I was still a couple gleams away at this point.

AH, vintage black and white, seems to set the mood!

I'll bet your sis and I are about the same age. Is she the oldest? I was born in '61.

Thanks for putting these on. They are fun to see. If wife gets time I'll see if she can help me put some on. Unfortunately I'm pretty "thick".

Now that it's fit to be in the field my time on here will be limited unless it rains. So if you guys don't see me post as much you'll know why.

Thanks again for the old photos and keep them coming as time allows.

BLANE.

the neighbor was telling me and dad the other day when he got his 1650.

He said he pulled 5 bottom--semi mounted but most of the others around here only had 4. He told us he didnt want another 4 bottom tractor cause he already had that in his 88... but most of us around here had 5 bottoms on 4020's until we put the turbo's on them LOL!

Yep, good memories. Dad got a new 1650 gas and 4 bottom 565 plow in May of '67. I was 10. Traded in a Super 88 and 3 bottom JD pull type plow. I think he said that the tractor straight out would have been $4995.00 and the plow was $495.00. I still have them both. Thanks for the pic. Jim.

Your are probably correct. When people would come in and ask for a pricew our boss told Jerry the other mechanic and me to tell them $5500 for tractor & plow including weights and cylinder. 1966. J.

To be able to do that again would be fun.
