Thanks to Korves Oliver, Larry Harsin, Dumont's, my Agco dealer, and several others who make a living at our expense, the old girl is lookin' and runnin' good. What a fun project! She will do a little work, a little play, and a quite a bit of resting. Maybe some day when I retire, I'll get to do the same. ADB

we've got one, use it for everything. Does your two speed work? Ours is a direct connection, which works just fine. Also, is your power steering on the back of the generator? Was wondering what options I have if it gives out on me. Great looking tractor, you'll really get to like it the more you use it.

Yes it has the power booster and it works fine but I"ve never had much load on it. This fall we plan to host a plow day and we"ll see how it does with my 4x16"s on it. The Gemmer power steering unit needed new seals when I got it. The steering box had been "fixed" before. Whoever thought plumber"s putty would fix a hydraulic leak was wrong. What a mess! But I got it cleaned up, new seals in it, and back together, and so far it is holding. I think the pump on those (behind the generator) is the same setup the old Chevys used but I don"t know about getting parts. If it goes bad again, I"ll probably go for the newer full oil power steering.

Looks very nice. No doubt a lot of money and work. I hope you enjoy it and get a lot of good out of it.
