Thanks for your help. The serial is 14866-702. The tractor chassis and hood has original paint with the wheels having peeling red on top of the probably original green.

For the Super Series of Olivers, the tractors had green wheels from 1954-1956. In 1957, Oliver switched back to red wheels because of too many complaints about the green wheels. They also made some other changes to the Supers in 1957. So 1957-1958 have red wheels.

My Super 77 Diesel , mine is a 1956 model, has red wheels. I think they followed the regular red color from the 77"s and 88"s until they changed to all green with the later models. Mine has power shift rails on the rear and red cast centers on the front with green rims. The rear rims are aluminum color but the center cast is red. We bought it used when it was only 2 years old, never repainted.

More info, I checked my tractor, Serial No. 28-133-702. Spec. No. 17-0030. I think that makes it a 1955 model. Maybe the power adjust wheels made a difference as they were not very popular because of the extra cost I would imagine. However I've not seen very many 77's and 88's with the power adjusted wheels. My suggestion is do some scraping down to bare metal and see what you find. Remove cast wheel from hub and see what you find for color in a protected area like that. Good Luck

If they were like the Super 88s, they were green until I believe 1958. At any rate you will need to know the year your tractor was produced to be accurate.
