Agco Dealer Crazy?

I'm trying to determine if my local Agco dealer just doesn't know how to run his computer. . .

I'm trying to get a set of brake bands for my father-in-law's Row Crop 66 (early style bands). Apparently, you can only get 56 years out of a set of brake bands these days.

Anyway, my Agco dealer rattled his keyboard for quite some time and the number came up with description but indicated that it wasn't available. . .Hmm??

I'm guessing I'll be calling Korves. Has anyone picked up a set of these lately? If so, where and how much?

Sounds like you have an ACGO dealer around there like some of the ones we have. I tried to get some parts for a 1800 that the dealers parts guy said weren't available. Called a different dealer and got them to ship the parts to me.

How much they want to work and look for stuff has alot to do with it. However, I would probably call Korves anyway and their prices are better than dealers and they are just plain a good bunch of folks to deal with! Heck I give them business just on their good attitude with customers alone!

I needed a set of bands for my 60. Told the parts person what I needed and she said that brake bands were still available for a 66. I told her I needed them for a 60 not a 66. Had no problem getting them. So, if she was right, they are available.

Yes, it was Ione. If there is still one part alive somewhere, she will find it.

That may be the truth on that one. I can't say I've ever had to look for such a part, but I thought I've heard it mentioned before that AGCO doesn't supply them anymore. Your best bet is Korves as you already mentioned, or a really old Oliver/AGCO dealer that may have NOS parts.
