I recall reading some where there was several updates to 4-180 tractors in the 2 speed area. Somthing about controlling heat and oil flow. I have mine apart right now for clutch issues and would like to make sure it has any updates. Any one here have access to old service bulletins or ??? Tractor is model 180 82019 serial # 261 784 405. Thanks

Your 4-180 is only a 2 speed? Our 4-150 is a 3 speed (over, under, and direct). Where they made both ways?

All 4-180's are 2 speed manual aux transmission. no shifting on the go. I found out you can't even put a 3 speed in a 4-180 as the out put shaft turns reverse of the engine and the oil pump for the trans is in the 2 speed unit. I did find the general design changes listed in a tecnical service manual. Now I just need the correct service bulletins.
