I just picked up a Super 88 Industrial - rough tin and will need some work, but it is missing tag - engine is Gas 958377 - on other side casting numbers 190320H, 1K100E, and vertical S92254 - any help identifying what I have? Also it has a carb is Zenith that looks too small - what should be on it?

I hate to bust your bubble, but Super 88 gas models did use a small Zenith carburetor. I would need to look up the model number, but a lot smaller than on the 880. Since your block was cast in the fall of 1954 your tractor is probably a late 1954 model or an early 1955 model.Remember they left casting "cure" for a time period in those days. Once you take the hood off take a look in the area of the thermostat housing or maybe just under the edge of the valve cover. You may need to remove both to see the date. A month and a year will be stamped there when the head was machined. That will get you closer to when the tractor was built. Questions? J.
