Hi I have a 2255 with the 3208 that I pull with and was wondering how much horsepower I could get out of it with stock RPMs and no turbo. Does any one make a stroker kit for this engine?

Hello all, was wondering about the said RPM's my 4-210 runs at 2800 (will hit 3000) so is lower Rpm's to hold HP at 145 in 2255? Oliver Guy have taken pic of 4-210 with plow but some has my camera and hasn't brought it back to me yet, and then to get them on here. Where are you at in Ind. I'm 35 miles from AB and haven't got to meet him yet.Would like to plow some more but don't know if it is dry enough yet, had to bring 1650 home for hayride this sunday night from where I was plowing with it. Would like to try to plow with 4-210 agian if possible. Would like to go look at a 1850 this weekendit's at a dealer lot, like the picture, like the pic of 4-210 this summer with my wagon behind it in photo gallery, you need abigger one too. Boco So. Il.

NO, I think the 2255 was rated at 2800RPM's. We choose to run it at 24-2500 for engine life. It runs really well there, almost better than my 2-180 White which turns about 3,000RPM's. We fuel turned to both of them.

Of course I'd like to see some pictures. I know smoke doesn't equal more power, but it sure looks cool doesn't it! I'm worried to turn up my 2255, I think the ole Cat is getting a little tired. Here's mine trying to earn it's keep. Had a guy with some extra time the other winter and turned a nasty looking wagon into an "Oliver" one. I was going to paint it anyway, why not green/white?

We run approximately 225+Hp out of our 2255 all the time to farm with, but you got to use your head. We have the 3208 that we run @ 2400 RPM's. Runs and pulls like a bear. A double disc clutch out of a 2-180 White will bolt right in to hold all that power. We have 3 tractors with that clutch in. Just need to change the throwout bearing holder to a shorter one. The engine can be bored out .040 over stock piston size. Don't know of any stroker kits, but clearances are close inside. Remeber more smoke doesn't = more power.
