I have a tractor brochure on a Powerbilt model tractor built by the General Tractor Corporation in Detroit Michigan. The engine is L-head so I think it is continental 162.4 cu. in. at 36 hp.
The tractor is 4 wheel drive and all tires appear to be same size. It appears to be an early version of what is now the skid steer type of tractor, but it has PTO and drawbar, so it would be considered a tractor. It has stick (bulldozer) type steering. There is no dating on the brochure. At the bottom of the back page is the words (patents pending). I have been doing some research on this tractor and am drawing blanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Keith

In the "Standard Catalog Of Farm Tractors 1890 To 1960" on page 182 there is a picture of a tractor that I believe fits your description. In this book it is referred to as a Detroit 44-16 four wheel drive tractor, weight is 1,660 pounds, equipped with a Continental N62, four cylinder engine. If you can scan your brochure and send me a copy, I will also have my wife teach me how to use her scanner and I will send you a picture that I have. I have hunted all over for one of these tractors. Won't be able to afford it if I do find it but I sure want to see a real one.
Have a good day.
Roy
