Might try "www.bigtoy.com", they have a discussion board more geared toward construction equipment. The HCEA has a magazine that featured Hough's a few years ago, but copies are no longer available (issue 48 I think). Let me know if you find any good stuff as I have a PAYLOADER HY.

Sorry, I can't really tell you much. I recently bought a Hough HA, which I think is the smallest payloader Hough built. It's about a '52 or '53 model. I've been searching the web for info or collector sites for this type equipment, but so far have found nearly nothing. Frank Hough company was bought by IH, then I think that division was later acquired by Dresser, then I'm not sure who, so that might help you a little bit. I believe the T series might be a later (maybe 60's?) replacement for the HA, HF, HG, HH etc. which was built in the 40's and 50's. The HA I have is a very heavy built machine, looks as if it was built with many years of work in mind. Good luck, and I would appreciate any good links you might find. ALso, search the archives on this site. I found several discussions on Hough's here.

Just to add to your comments Stan, about Dresser.
They have been swallowed up by Komatsu, along with a few others such as Gallion Graders. To their credit the Japs have retained almost all of the N.American built machines, working them into the line up albeit with Komatsu engines.
They do seem to be well serviced with parts & info.
A good contact for I.H. construction parts is Brown International in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada.
Regards, Herb.
