I have a friend that is trying to identify a 1928 Chevy Tractor, shop Mule, Hack or whatever. He recently purchased this and is restoring now. Engine block/head and other parts have a bowtie and stamped 1928. Does anyone have pictures of similar, or insight on this unit? Thanks, Larry

My husband and I saw your great purchase on the Hebard Farmall tractor. In fact, we considered bidding on the machine. My father purchased a mule last year and restored it. What we have found out is that the body is that of a Farmall A, the color is red like all internationals. We recently bid on and won a seller's brochure on ebay regarding hebard tractors. The illustrations shown in the ebay display shows the different styles of hebard farmall tractors. I believe this will be helpful to you. The hebards that look like a small tractor (similar to the A) were very few and very rare. These tractors were used in the airports, factories, etc. for pulling parts. Many of these had a solid shielding around them and were yellow, but the one you purchased was red and really cute when finished. I spent many hours on the internet searching for information about this tractor, but unfortunately even some the most avid farmall collectors know little about this tractor. My father took the tractor to a dealer in Royal Center, Indiana who has restored one of his own, and does restoring as a business.

Hope this helps. The brochure add shows all the different styles of the mule.

Deb
