Can anyone tell me what may have happened to Long? Did another co absorb them? Is there a parts source for their implements?

I broke my rototiller Sunday and am realizing that a machine shop or expert welder may be my only salvations at this point...

Thanks a lot.

Looking at buying a new long 2360. Anyone comment on the long tractors on dependability or anything else?

Robert, haven't shopped for new tractor in a long time (no pun intended). Bought new Long 360 in 1978. Was half the price of Massey-Ferguson 235 and the dealer sold both brands. The Massey was a nicer tractor, but I have not regretted my purchase at all. I think the price spread is much smaller now and that would cause me to look more closely at features and modern design. Still have the Long and it is my newest tractor.

Ijust bought an 1985 Long 360, original owner with an heavy duty front-end loader-for $6000K-am thinking & regretting that maybe I paid too much for it-It has high(High) hours 5100 hrs. But the main appeal to me was that it was from an original owner. But other than constant flats & leaks no trouble-I have been looking, myself for a Long tractor salvage yard & so would like to restore it. There are a few in Tejas but not many useful items-please write back-Roger rb53@awesomenet.net.

long is still around. there new line of tractors look like the new newholland tractors. the only problem you might have is finding a dealer. parts are available but cost more than others. i know of a few in ohio if your in this area.

So far, I've spoken to a Long dealer in Youngstown, OH and another in Paris, TN. B&G (in TN) is faxing me the diagram of the exploded (pun intended) tiller so I can get the part number . . . It just came over! Cool. Looks like I might in luck...

Thanks for the help!!
