I have stumbled upon a small tractor called a Bungartz. It must be a foreign tractor, all the printing on the number plate, I cannot read. I think the model is a T5. Its pretty rough, but if worth it, I may look into it closer. Any info on this would be helpfull. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,

Bungartz is a german brand. At it's Time well known as manufacturer of compact and walk behind Tractors. In Germany there is a range of Collectors. If You take a look at
www.traktorbahnhof. de
You'll find a link.
The Bungartz T 5 was built since 1957, at first with a 12 HP Hatz-Diesel with 668 ccm, in 1958 they change the 12 HP into a 13 HP Hatz. It is possible, that they also built in a MWM, but this I don't know. In 1975 a part of Bungartz had been taken over by Gutbrod, today MTD, and Dexheimer.
Between 1965 and 1975 the Name was "Bungartz&Peschke" and the Plant removed from Munich to Hornbach/Pfalz.

Bernhard,

I have a question for you. From my last trip to the fatherland I have some Deustch marks that I didn't use. How long can I keep them and still be able to exchange them for usable money in Deustchland?

Thanks,

Sonny
