Firing system on powerking

does any one know how the firing works on the powerking with a 14hp kohler, i have the flywheel off and its full of dust will this make it not fire or is there something else wrong? the coil seems to load up with fire the first turn of the engine but it want fire but once. help does any one know any tricks?

sounds like condenser or possible ignition switch problem. check battery connections or relay if it has one.

The points are under a seperate cap on the carb side. Check gap & condition, but you probably knew that. Check the condenser on the coil. If someone has connected it to the battery side of the coil instead of the point side where it should be, you'll have the problem you describe.
