I have to replace the hyd. drive belt on my 2614 Power King,I have the belt and have been told to pull the hood and grill, unbolt the bell housing and the engine and slide the engine foward. What connects the engine and the transmission? Is there a pilot shaft like on a car? Any help would be appricated.Anyone have a service manual for sale?

If I remember right, been a while since I worked on my Economy, there is no pilot shaft - just the transmission splines through the clutch plate. I added hydrolic lift to my tractor when it was new and used a Link-Belt (A belt made of segments that you assemble to the length you need and can put around the pully WITHOUT any engine or transmission removal and then put it together) That has been 20+ years ago and this original belt is still working. You might want to save yourself a lot of work and go the Link-Belt route.
