The silverking I am working on came without a spring on the connector from the carb to the govener. The throttle pushes on this spring to control engine speed.I need to find some kind of replacement. Can anyone give dimensions of this spring? Its an r66 with IXB herk engine.

The one on my R-66 is 4 1/2 inches long, a little less than 1/2 inch outside diameter and I would say medium heavy. If you have any problems let me know and I will send you a photo if you can wait a few days.

Thanks for the reply.I think I have the other govner to throttle rod.Found this out after finding a parts book some one had stashed in a shop.I ended up guessing on the lenght after reassembleing it all and trying differant springs. It appears to be ok but its not running yet so i'm not sure.My spring is about 1.5 inches.
