I have been stewing about the same thing.I need to paint a 37 silverking. There are paint codes and numbers on the silverking website, however they are for auto paint that has to be coustom mixed and has to have a toxic hardener added. The cheapest I found was $48 a quart plus hardener. The silver matched to a ford truck color and looked sort of off to me,I think someone just eyeballed it a picked it.The cheaper aluminum paints look real bright. One option that looks good is Massy Fer. silver mist its $11+ at the agco dealer and can be brushed or sprayed. That is the color on the engines, decals and wheels of most of the Massey Fergsons.

Keep in mind though Larry that the regular machinery enamel at $11 per quart isn't going to give you the same finish or life that an automotive quality paint will. It'll fade far more quickly and isn't as resistant to scratches, etc. However if the tractor is shedded and out of the sunlight it can be pretty good too.

I don't know the paint code for the red, but I remember hearing that the silver paint was custom mixed at the factory every day, leading to lots of variation in color. Light silver, dark silver, some SKs I've seen even had a goden tint.

So pick about any silver you want, and be happy!
