Does anyone have a number for an oil filter for a 1947 B.F. Avery Model V. It has a Hercules IXB2 engine but I think the IXB3 is the same. I am still restoring mine and the oil filter was rusted beyond recognition. The Canister is salvageable but I need the filter cartridge.
Thanks.

Your post is confuseing, the avery V has the ZXB3 engine with 65ci.The A has the IXB3 engine. If you have the screw on filter you can go to NAPA and ask for a filter for an Allis chamblers WC.

I have inherited a 1942 Avery model V from my dad. It has the canister type oil filter. NAPA Gold 1010 filter fits perfectly. The old one that was in it was a fram C-135, but it was kind of butchered up- and I dont know if it was butchered to make it fit or what. The NAPA 1010 fite for sure.

Sorry I meant ZXB2 not IXB2. I have an early '47 and it has a ZXB2. I guess that was used before the the ZXB3. It seems to have the same specs as the ZXB3.
