Does any one know where there is, or anything about a John Blue Super G 1000 tractor? John Blue (the sprayer co.) Built the Super G 1000 to fill the gap left when AC quit building the G in the middle fiftys. It was a Ford powered rear engine cultivating tractor. I talked to long time employee at John Blue and he seemed to remember that they built about a hundred of them. I remember the sales literature but I have never seen one.

I've seen several of these in my area. I've never run one, but i have looked them over. Some models (there's more than one) have OHV engines, so they don't all have the "cub engine" mentioned below. Hope this helps, Robert

They used a IH cub engine.A friend has one and we did too for a little while.Parts for the rear are not available,we know because they go bad.Biggest problem was the spline shaft between the trans. and the rear. This shaft was made too short and would slide to one end and leave just a small area where the splines would cantact. The shaft would soon fail.We welded 2 shafts togather and stuck them in,that has held. One reduction gear by the rear wheel went bad, numerus fan belts, and the steering gear is bad too.The fan belts are hard to replace, but the big problem is the engine is behind you so the driver dos not see the engine overheating.

Thanks for the reply Larry. Should be glad I didn't get one. Don't know where I got the idea that it had Ford power, guess it must have been the blue color.
