We are looking at an 80 hp. mfd with a cab. Nice running diesel. What can you tell me about them?
2200 hrs. on the clock. Suitcase weights. 2 sets of remotes. Would like to hear about Marshalls. Looks like a well built machine, but I don't know a darn thing about them.

Marshall is based on a leyland but more improved and refined. Engine is either a leyland in early models - noted for its lugging ability - or Perkins in later. Parts are no problem.
In the Power in action cultivation competitions around 15 -20 years ago the Marshall was always one of the best performers, in fact there is little difference between 2wd and 4wd 802/4 models simply because it was recognised as a `particularly well balanced design` Still being manufactured as JWD.

Is it a 804 or a 904? The Marshall brand is the continuation of what began as BMC,Nuffield, then Leyland. Decent tractors, not the best, but no where near the worst either.

Try checking out the Leyland discussion group.
