Trying to find out info on mobile feed grinder or hammermill. These were mounted on 2-ton trucks and they traveled to the farm location and used to grind corn and hay. The ones that I remember seeing were powered by the 4-71 Detroit Diesel engine. Anyone have any info on the company or companies that may have produced these. I also saw a toy replica of one of these. Any ideas? Thanks!

There were a number of Feed Mobile Manufacturers. Daffin of Lancaster, PA was probably the most popular. Other names that I remember are Dellinger, and Champion.
Following are three Eastern PA ag businesses that have their roots in the feed mobile sales and service business of the past. They still deal in parts and sevice:

A.W. Stauffer& Sons, Inc.
1356 Union Grove Road
P.O. Box146
Terre Hill, PA 17581
John Stauffer 800-628-7095 717-445-6764, 717-445-9913 FAX 717-445-9913

EMM Sales & Service, Inc. (stands for Eastern Mobile Mills)
141 Zooks Mill Road
P.O.Box 255 Brownstown, PA 17508
717-859-2660 800-288-2081 FAX 717-859-3294
E-mail john@emmsales.com www.emmsales.com

Feed Mobile(is or was Daffin Mill Headquarters)
727 Furnace Hills Pike
Lititz, PA 17543
Samuel E. High 717-626-2680 717-626-4948
(may still be manufacturing mills)

I hope this helps you.

Feedmobile Inc is still building mobile mills. They are in low demand so production is limited, but they are still being sold.
