I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with this request. I have recently purchased a cast iron "badge" @ 8-10 inches wide by 12-14 inches high with the name Corbett Williams (across the feathers), the Prince of Wales feathers in the centre and a 4 digit number at the bottom. I have no idea what this is off. I found only one reference to Corbett Williams and that was a cast iron seat for sale in the UK and the seat was 200 pounds!. I would really appreciate any help you may be able to give.
Thank you Sam

Sut ma hi Sam.
Corbet Williams come into being at around 1908 when Francis Corbett joined John Williams & Son who were ironfounders and engineers manufacturing agricultural implements and machinery at The Phoenix Works, Rhuddlan,Denbighshire. The company started producing oil engines around 1912, and on to the early 20's. The company apparently ceased trading in 1923. Thats is about all the info I have about the company. I have seen one of their engines and various items of their implements.
Another major manufacture of agri implements in North Wales was Powell brothers of Wrexham. I have two of their engins and some implements.
Hope this is of some help.
Hwyl.
