Yazoo was one of the finest, most rugged walk behind mowers ever made. They were all commercial grade with either horz. or vert. shaft engines, self propelled or push type. Unfortunately, they had bicycle type tires, I replace mine with solid rubber. All that I have seen had Clinton engines, which weren't too bad, all iron. I use to work in a repair shop that sold Yazoo's in the 60's. I resently restored a Yazoo for a present for my dad to use cutting weeds.

They now go by the name of Yazoo Kees. Not sure who bought who, nor if they fall under anybody else's umbrella. Here's their current website:

Probably referring to products made by Yazoo Mower Co., they built good products in 50's--80's, they got bought up and not sure who owns them now, do a web search for Yazoo Mower Company in Yazoo City Miss. gene
