6 cylinder continental engine. It kind of resembles a Massey Harris gas tank. Hood is missing, the only name is Red Seal on both sides of the grill, I'm thinking it is some kind of industrial tractor. Any help identifying this tractor would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Flip

As noted by the other two responses, the Red Seal was a Continental power unit. I know Worthington tractors used the Red Seal with the Red Seal logo pressed into the grill. Look around on the tractor and don't be surprised if you find a Worthington ID tag on it. (If you are not familiar with Worthington, they made tractors that looked like cut down trucks--not farm tractor like at all-- to pull gang mowers on golf courses, etc.)

Red Seal was a trade name that Continental once put on many of their engines, specifically the flathead 4 and 6-cylinder versions I believe. Now, if the engine was originally a power supply engine and was mounted on a skid with a radiator and some enclosing tinwork, I imagine the radiator shroud might have the Red Seal decal on it. Any chance it was transplanted into a tractor? Here's where a photo could speak a thousand words right?
