Anybody familiar with a Honda 6522 tractor? It is a small 3 cyl diesel with 4WD. Built in 1990. Fellow has one for sale and I would like to buy it if I could find out anything about them. He bought it used to have while he was building his house and now does not need it.
Thanks

I'm familiar with them Mike. What Spuds told you couldn't be further from the truth! Please let me know if you want any information on them.

I have a Honda H5013 tractor 4WD from 1991. As you may know Honda discontinued the tractor line-up. Therefore parts are a nightmare. I've been waiting a month for a part from my local dealer. Can't even get status.

Parts are NOT a nightmare and are readily available! If you're waiting a month for a part with no word on status, the problem is your dealer; not Honda! I own a Honda Power Equipment dealership and specialize in the 5000 series tractors. I can have most any part for the tractors in 2 to 3 days, overnight if you want to pay the freight. how does the H4518 compare to the H5518? When you have them used, what ballpark price are they?

thanks,
paul

Mike: Saw one last week at local dealer. Machanic had it apart and told me it was not a good design and did not last long. I've never found him to be wrong. Hope this helps.

Well Spuds, they say there is a first time for everything, and it looks like this is the case for your mechanic being wrong. Ask ANYBODY who owns one and they will tell you the exact opposite of what your mechanic told you. These tractors will last longer and outperform virtually anything else their size, and quite often, bigger tractors as well. There were no "bad designs", and they DO last a long time.
