My Dad had a Leader tractor. I have a picture of him and the tractor on the wall above me. I would love to buy one of these since I own the small farm now. Are there any details on the outside of these machines that tell the model or year? The picture is somewhat of a close up of Dad and the tractor in front of my barn, but I can't make out anything but LEADER down the side.

i have a leader like the center tractor in davie??'s picture of the avery and 2 leaders. I used it some 10 years ago and it was ok but since then the motor got stuck. i took it to a friend to unstick the engine but he has not done that yet and tractor is still at his place. I have no particular interest in the tractor and would trade or sell it.

I am serving on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery SHow, which will be held August 7-10, 2003 in Georgetown, Ohio. This year, our show is host the National Meet for the Leader Tractor Collectors. If you are interested in maybe finding a Leader, you should come to our show, prehaps one of the group can point you in the right direction. Email me if you would like more information.

I have an old Leader that still runs and is used once or twice a year. I'd like to learn more about the tractor and perhaps what restoration
could be done. Any help you can give?

Thanks

third party image

Pure coincidence that I took the picture of these LEADER tractors today (Sat 6/28/03) That make was unfamiliar to me and looked interesting. Go to the link to see pics of all makes and models from the same show. ENJOY!

There is a number stamped in the dash. My Dad has 2 of them--an earlier one with a Herc IXB3 engine and square plate rear wheel centers and a later model with a Herc IXB5 engine and conventional wheel equipment. Beyond that I don't know any other way to identify them. BTW---other than the rims, they are RED---PERIOD. Craig

I have recently been given a leader tractor that is in rough shape but does run. I havent had much luck in finding info on the web on leader tractors. Would someone please give me a website or an email address of someone who know about these tractors. I want to restore or at least try to with my two boys. Thanks, Kevin Brown

I inherited leader tractor I am trying to restore. I am interested in sharing information on the tractor. I saw a completely restored tractor this summer.
I am in Northwestern Pennsylvania. The tractors were built near Cleveland, Ohio.
