Can anyone help? Due to a loved one's recent passing, my family now has a Gibson Model D tractor. Can anyone help us with a ballpark figure for what this is worth? We haven't been able to turn up very many answers on our own.

The tractor is a Gibson Model D, 1948, lever steered, air cooled, one cylinder, 6 hp. He also had 2 extra rear wheels, transmission and rear end.

Please let me know if you have any information for us.

It"s been up for a while but I thought I"d give it a shot. I was wondering if you still had the transmission for the Gibson D and if you were still interested in selling it. If so where are you located, I"m in NJ.

Depending on the condition of the tractor the price could range from $200 and up. I would be interested in the rear end if you still have this , and may know some one that would be interested in the tractor itself.

I own an unrestored Gibson tractor. Like the other man seys, its how bad you want one.
I would be interested in purchasing a chain cover if you have an extra. Where are you located?

You ask a tough question. Alot depends on where you are located and finding the right person. Several months ago in a antique tractor publication there were three of them for sale, one being an older restoration for 800 and the other 600 and 700. The was a listing here recently for a restored D for 1200. Do not know if it sold, but it has been posted on and off for months. Both of the D's that I have had, I aquired for less than 250 each. It all comes down to finding someone with money that wants one.

My father is interested in the transmission if you still want to sell it.
