A small Duetz tractor was brought to our local show last week by a man from Martinton, Ill. I posted pictures of same and some information on Red Power Forum and received the following reply from the Netherlands:

It looks like an F1L612 1cilinder bore 90mm stroke 120mm max revolutions 2100 11HP 6 forward and 3 reverse shift max 20 KM / U about 830 metric Kilo's

Information is correct after looking at the serial tag. This tractor is bi-directional and is in pretty good shape and I think would restore nicely. Drive shaft goes thru rear end to tranny and then back to rear end. Anyone have more information to share?

Bernhard. Questions that come to mind is why bi-directional and how it was used in the reverse mode? What implements were available for same and does anyone have pictures of it at work in the reverse mode especially?

using it was very simple, turn the seat and the steerwheel was beside of You.In the beginnig 50`a lot of Tractor-Manufacturers produced Tractors like this, with mounting Implement between the axles. But Deutz was the onliest bigger one, which did so and also had a small bidirectional Tractor, for Example by pushing a Binder. This Tractors should help motorise the small Farms, which are working with Horses or Cows. If I find a Picture of this Tractor working, I`ll send it You via E-mail.
