i live in the northeast (my problem i know), i really am interested in buying a new century 2535 with a c-50 loader. i'm getting a price quote from my local dealer of $16,400.00. Is this a reasonable price or is this guy killing me? i seem to be seeing much cheaper prices down south and was flirting with contacting other dealers and trying to arrange shipment. does anyone have any idea how much the dealer invoice price is on a set-up like this. i have no problem with a dealer makeing a few $s i just want to make a decent deal. i've spoken with two dealers and they seem to be pretty much in-line on prices up here.
thanks

Hi Bob,
$16,400 seems high to me... we bought a Century 3035 with front end loader, box blade and brush hog complete with a heavy duty, 2 axle trailer for $16,800...This was at Coker Enterprises here in Tyler, Texas. Absolutely love the tractor both mowing and moving dirt (filling in a creekbed). Have never heard of one of these tractors breaking in half... not with it's frame.

The warranty is for the tractor from the manufacturer, not from the dealer so any Century dealer would honor it. If your dealer can't give you a good price, he'll at least make some money on warranty work that he wouldn't get if you hadn't bought a Century in the first place, regardless of where you purchased it.

If you buy it a ways away from you, and then get it shipped, where are you going to go for warranty???? You going to crawl back to your close dealer with your tail between your legs, or pay for the work out of your pocket????

I've looked at the Century tractors a few times, and they look to be a fairly nice tractor for less money. (than the big names) I have heard of a couple that broke in half when used rough with a loader.

Keep in mind that all compacts are NOT built for HD work, they are built for med to light duty service.

Robert
