I'm looking for some information on a Deutz tractor. Specifically on a Model D6807. I just need some general information such as production run dates and if it would be possible to find out how many were imported into the US. Any help or direction is appreciated.
Thank You
Bob F.

They were offered in 1980 as a update to the D6806. They were offered until around 1985 when they were replaced with the smaller DX series. Deutz was never real good at keeping exact production information like JD. This makes it harder to know the exact times and production numbers. I think it is mostly because of being a imported tractor and units being at various branches. Most of the tractor we got in came out of the PA depot and some out if Ohio. Every now and then one would come in from Atlanta. When the chasis and wheel color change we had one 6806 of the earlier and one of the newer on the same load. From what I remember the diference was the tire size. This was about the same when the 6807's started ariving. The 07 series was just as popular as the 06 series was but now they had better head lights and easire adjusting 3pt lift arms. I dont think as many were sold because of the economy at the time and if a customer purchased one of the 06's shortly before they didnt update. I do remember seeing more of the 6807's we were getting in were 4wd. The 6806 & 07 were popular with vegitable growers because they were the smallest row crop tractor Deutz offered. A few even were used in orchards but more got the 6206 & 07 size. This was also the smallest size to offer a 540 & 1000 prm pto. If you are looking for a future collectible the 6807 would be a good choice over the 06 series because of lower production. They are a great tractor to run until that time so take care of it. Wish I had more details.
