torque converters

I read about an old tractor made in te late 40 early 50 time frame which had a chrysler engine with torque converer Queston is this the same set up as dodge and plumouth fluid drive and does any one know where I could find one of these torque converters??? My grandfather hade a dodge pickup around1950 that he didnt use clutch after low gear . I seem to rember sonthing about Fluid Drive on the side.

Yes a number of tractors where sold under differant names that had the crysler/dodge combo.they where costom,wards,rokoil,crysler,etc.A few of the largest ones came with the fluid drive option.
