Saw a tractor on Ebay a while back that had a front nose similar to a '39-'46 Dodge truck and standard mopar flathead engine. Any info on these units ?

Believe you were looking at a Worthington golf course tractor used to pull gang mowers and such...

Two tractors used 6 cylinder chrysler engines. They were either a Love or a Friday. Most engines used on Fridays were believed to be the industrial ones. Both were built in Michigan, and some models were very close in appearance.

Top speed for the Friday was 68 mph.

There were some articles written in Antique Power Magazine on these tractors.

I have a 1938 co-op tractor that has a dodge drive train.I was told it is a #2 and was sent pictures of some tractors just like it.When i got it i thought it was home made.Jake

Yes, Guys there were many tractors that used the Chrysler drive train , begining with the CO-OP in 1935 the #2 using the 218 engins and the#3 with the 265 The #2 untill WW2 in 1942 and the #3 continued after the war. Then the coustom started using much the same setup , Building tractors and puttin any name on them you wanted Wards, Love and many others. You can see pictures in this forum.
