Have found a 1991 Long 4300 tractor for sale. It has 1300 hrs. and is equiped with a 5 ft. brush hog. It looks to be in very good shape, but I don't know much about tractors or Long,s. I would like to talk to someone who has one.The price is $4,300.00.

I got a Long R9500 for next to nothing. I LOVE my tractor. It's the best money I've ever spent.
I've got a Perkins diesel that's so reliable. You can see a picture of it in the photos under Long and Landini

I suspect that a 460 is considerably older than 1991. That model was being sold in 1977 and for several other years. If in good condition, the price is fair. No way to get more tractor for less. This model has the differential lock. Parts are available.

I found out it is a 460 model not a 4300.

In the early 80's prior to joining the military; I worked in garages on Agriculture and Industrial Equipment. The Long 460 was a good and reliable tractor. Good Luck with your decision on buying a tractor.

later days mate,
Jim

BTW, we're still in business. I work for Long (new guy, since Feb '03) and we're still around. Give us a call if you need something or have some questions, or visit our website. www.longagri.com, i think. We're still working on it, though.
