What are the speeds for a three speed and four speed rearends? I have a four speed right now that has a click in it. I would like to get another to rebuild this summer so I don't have the tractor apart all summer. I pull it some times and would like to know how different the speeds are on a three speed.(I have one found cheap) Any help would be great. Thanks

I believe the 3 and 4 speed transmisson were Clarks and are the same as used in the Oliver Cletrac HG, OC3, and OC4 crawlers along with the Minne-Moline and Avery BF ca. 1951. Ground speeds for the wheel-tractor with 10-28 rear tires and 4 speed are: 2.42, 3.67, 5.23, and 13.12 m.p.h. The three speed when used in the HG crawler has spees of: 1st - 2.01 m.p.h., 2nd - 3.19 m.p.h., 3rd - 5.24 m.p.h., Rev. - 2.33 m.p.h. An OC4 crawler with the 4 speed has (in low range) 1st - .8 m.p.h. 2nd - 1.2 m.p.h. 3rd - 1.7 m.p.h. 4th - 5.27 I'm assuming the crawler 3 and 4 speeds are the same as in the wheel tractors (but I haven't done the math) - so at least this gives you the relationship of the gears to each other. High gear in all is 1 to 1 ratio.
