How do I go about trying to find out the approximate value of a 1946 and a 1949 Silver King tractor. If anyone has any words of wisdom I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

What condition are they in? I have been watching Silver King's on ebay, ohio auctions, and on web sites for three years now and purchased a 1948 last year. I also think that they are worth more if they have lights, hydraulic pump, original wheel weights and the curved or clamshell fenders are more rare. I believe they were used somewhere after 1947 or 1948. Also, are they three wheelers or four wheelers. I have only seen one four wheeler ever come up for sale in teh last two years.

They are in fair shape. Both are 3 wheelers, both have lights but not working. One has clamshell fenders and hydraulics. What kind of shape was the one you bought in? Does it have lights and hydraulics? If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to give for it? Thanks for helping me out. Wayne

I paid $1300 for a 1948 SK Model 42 three wheeler with rear wheel weights, belt pulley, lights, and the clamshell fenders. The clutch had been changed in 1985 and it was repainted then with Farmall red of all colors. This paint did protect the old girl from rusting away though. It ran rough when I bought it but enough to get it on and off the trailer and into my garage for rebuilding and restoration. I had shopped for Silver King's for quite some time and almost purchased a non-running 1947 SK that was in pretty good shape for $2000. The year I was looking, none came up on Ebay and only two came up on this website for sale. After completing this one, I would love to get an older three wheeler such as an R-66. The hydraulic setup is rare and my lights did not work either. Do you still have the two keyed switches for the ignition and lights? Are the keys removeable? I have heard that they were not removeable.

I have a Silver King tractor for sale that has been in the family for several years. It does not run currently, but I have seen run. It is painted red with four tires.

I think my uncle was in the process of restoring it. He had the tractor torn apart. I am not sure of the complete part requirements. Please send me an e-mail for further information.

I can not get the second web-site to work. Any help? I am looking to find the value of a four wheel Silver King that does not run, but once did.

There is a guy here in town that bought a model 42 from a Jockey 2 years ago for 1200. It is straight, original and runs. What models are you looking at? My neighbor still uses one every spring and fall to pull his seed wagon. It is also a model 42 I went by a farm today that has two of them all cleaned up setting on the barnyard. He did use the one or maybe both since they look alike.
