what is best size bush hog for 445 long,,my 4ft is for sure on the small size. thanks

Your 445 will handle a 6 footer ok. If you have alot of narrow areas, trees, or buildings to work around, I suggest you use a smaller one because you can mow any place that you can drive your tractor. I use a 4 and a 5 footer behind mine and also mow some large fields that are not too rough. I just go up to a higher gear and go faster to make up for using a smaller machine. Good Luck!

I have a heavy duty 5' with 90 HP gearbox.
It is all the 445 wants without adding weight
to the front end if the area is hilly (front
end begins to bounce and lack steering going
uphill)

Jim in NC: do you know any junk yards with 445's in NC???

Tractor can handle 6 ft. cutters with 45 hp gearboxes.
