Just inherited a pristenn Jacobsen 14 HP (Kohler Engine) Hydostatic trans with Hi-Low range and a 3 bladed deck that is almost 6 feet wide (cuts about 54" ???) I dont see any model number but ID plate say " UT 34003 " and Serial number is GEO680028. It has always been stored indoors and I wish to sell it as it is too large for my little yard (about 1/2 acre of yard).
Can anyone tell me the age of this unit? and an approximate value? I would like a tractor but I would only want about a 40" cut and tight turning radius. I am willing to put additional money into an exchange..I want Hydro transmission

Mr. Larson,

I expect that your lawn & Garden tractor was built in the 1985-1992 period after Homelite bought out the Jacobensen residential line. There may be a production date taped sticker on the underside of the flip up seat. You have a 50 inch deck. A 42 inch deck was also available.

Jacobsen started building this style unit in approx. 1973. I have a 1976 16 HP tractor under the Ford name with a 50 inch deck. Mine does not have the engine side panels. They were used on newer restyled sheet metal models.

I am looking for a 50 inch deck.
