I have logged countless hours searching for anyone that knows anything about the above super crawler. We believe it was manufactured in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are slowly rebuilding this antique but can't authenticate that it ever existed (other than the fact that we have one) Do you know of this unit? Do you know of a site or an individual that may be able to help?

We have a number of H12 crawler loaders built as a joint venture between the Frank Hough co and International. These loaders were 20 years ahead of their time. The Hough co went on to build only rubber tired loaders and International ended up with the loader design but only produced it a few years. There were only about 250 of these built. We have about 6 of these rear engine loaders but only 3 run.

I'm from Edmonton. Dominion Tractor Town was a dealer. I know they were the Ford tractor dealer into the early 70's. Then I think they were bought out by Hauser Tractor of Calgary. I really doubt they made crawlers. The Hough H12 marketed by Frank G Hough company was built from 1955 to 1960. It was ahead of it's time with a rear engine built by International that put out 90 hp and was equipped with a 1 3/4 yard bucket. I have a book that shows a picture and has the previous info. I would think that more than 250 would have been built in 6 years but don't have any other information. I have never seen any other info on any other H12 crawler. Hope this helps. Dave
