Here in eastern N.C. the John Blue family was "big" in agriculture and implements. In the 70s they made a Blue tractor that was simular to the AC-G tractor.Only made a few. Each year there is a festivale at the "homeplace" but no tractor. The club I'm in would like to find one to restore and put on display. If you know of one leave info here abd I'll be back.Thanks.

I live in Tennessee and my neighbor has a John Blue Tractor. He isn't really looking to sell it but would if the price is right. He said the engine runs fine but the hydrostatic drive isn't working, may just be a plugged filter.

I bought J-B for my son-in-law who is CEO of John Blue in Huntville.
They want it restored for their showroom. It has a cub engine and cub wheels with a 5 ft mower deck.
It can be seen now on www.gravesimplement.net under photos.

I am reasonably sure that the John Blue had the same engine as the Cub. Several companies made look-alikes, some with 2 cylinder Kohler and hydrostatic drive.

To see how many posts there've been about these, go to the search box at the top of the page, and enter "John Blue"! They're sure cute! I wish I had one!

A big thanks fellas !!! Great pic. Yes J.B. did move operations to Huntsville Ala. but don't know when.I knew great grandson or grandson mant years back. He was killed in an auto accident a mile from the homeplace.Swell person. The county has and is restoring the homeplace and once a year have a festiville on the grounds. Getting bigger each year.It would be nice for the loacl tractor club to acquire a Blue tractor to put on the grounds for display.A gentleman from Md. (I think) brought one last year to display.Says he's coming back again in Oct.Like to have one to display beside his.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks ! Charles

Were they all blue? Several years ago there were several tractors very similar to this at the Yoder & Frey Auction. However none of them had engines in them. A man from the local county club has one. He would like to know more about it.
