I really don't know alot of the history of the Boring tractor, however, I do have pictures of it and the factory where it was produced. I am told that my uncle has the blueprints to this tractor, although I have never seen them.

According to the Standard Catalog of Farm Tractors, the Boring tractor was the inventative work of Charles E. Boring who received patent number 1,203,304 for his design in 1916. In 1918 the firm was incorporated to build the Boring 12-25. It was equipped with a four-cylinder Waukesha engine having a 4 1/4"x5 3/4" bore and stroke. For plowing the right-hand drive wheel ran in the furrow, and the left hand driver could be adjusted upward so that the tractor and plow ran level. This tractor had a 1919 price of $1485. Production ended about 1922.

The Boring Tractor Corporation in Rockford, Illinois built a three wheeled tractor that was built from 1921 to 1922. Shown on page 328 of THE I & T COLLLECTORS SERIES FARM TRACTORS 1916 -1925.
