Hi,

Does anyone knows how the control unit for hydraulic power lift is attached in Deutz 4006 tractor ? My problem is the lift, which goes up and down, when there is load on it. The cylinder is OK, so I would like to change or repair the control unit (valve).

Yes, the control valve in held in its bore by screw behind the remote valve or the block where a valve would be. This is a hollow screw thru which the oil flows. With screw out and valve detached from rear and front, turn 1/4 turn cloclwise. This lets the o-ring over the hole slide forward withpout damage. With valve out =, examine check valve. [ball and spring] the seat of the ball will be worn and must be replaced or can be re-surfaced with properly shaped tool and grinding compound. If you get this far, e-mail for more help.

There's a valve in the rear end of the tractor that causes the junping up and down of the 3 point when that valve goes bad.

You can replace it from the outside, but you have to know the procedure, and it's been so long since i've done it i've forgot how to do it.

Seems like last time i saw the price on the valve it was many years ago and it was about $350.00 then???

This place did one for me one time long ago. 231-924-3420 They are in west Michigan.

Thanks Robert,
it was just that procedure I was hoping someone to know. If anyone have repair manual for 4006 it is most likely described there.

There is three or four bolts in front of valve. but opening them doesn't loose the valve.

All i remember is, that you have to reach in and turn the valve a certain way to get it out... Wish i could remember more, but it was LONG ago since i did it!

I got a spare part list for Deutz and it seems that there could be a screw right side of power liftīs body holding the valve. However i canīt find it from tractor. Could it be under the extra hydraulic valve, which is also right side and front of hydraulic block ?

I could sent a picture from spare part list, if there would be a place to put it.
