I HAVE A OLD FLAT HEAD BUDA ENGINE HP351 6 CYC..
I GET ALOT OF BUBBLES IN THE RADITOR.NO OIL IN THE
RADITOR. THERE IS NO THERMOPSTAT IN AT THIS TIME.
DO I HAVE A COMPRESSION LEAK OR ARE THE BUBBLES BECAUSE OF NO THERMOSTAT. COMPRESSION IS 110-110-92-95-90-90 .
ANY IDEAS ?
BART

Bart, Before you tear into anything serious, slip
the water pump belt off and see if you still
have the bubbles. If the bubbles are still there
most likely you have a compression leak, but if
they quit most likely you have a water pump seal
leaking air in while engine is running. Many times
the seal will leak air in for quite a while before
it leaks water out .
