I just brought mine home and need to contact someone else who has one. For some unknown reason somebody has shortened the frame on mine between the motor & rear end, and I need to know how long it's supposed to be. Also, the ser. number plate is gone. Is there any other numbers I can use to i.d. this critter?

if the id plate on the rear of the right side frame rail is missing, the only other numbers would be the casting numbers on the right side front of the engine block which will at least let you know how old the engine is and if its original.

The serial number is stamped into the frame rail on the right side near the clutch.
