I have just bought a rebuilt Gold belly Ferguson FE 35 (Golden) Belly, with the following serial numbers

182840 M1
302299 - 11 4
183253 M1
My tractor friend Jack says it’s a 1958 FE 35 and the proper serial number on the undersurface of the sump is T 158 (=1958) and MHF 182840 M1
Can anyone tell me anything about this beautifully rebuilt tractor. I has two heaters, one operated from the dash and another from the key. there is another black rubberised button on a bracket on the left side, I do not know what this is for nad no one around here is any the wiser???

I suggest that you move to the Harry Ferguson forum. There you will find out more. Sooner or later you will miss the differential brake that is on later models (Massey Ferguson 35x). Otherwise an excellent design as far as I know.
Look at www.annatefka.com The site is in Dutch but pictures and wiring shemes can be unerstood by anybody. There is also a free downloadable parts manual that can be found if you click on "Techniek" and then on "Onderdelen"

I do not know any absolute answer of neither one of the questions. Click on "wiew all forums" at the top of the page and enter the Harry Ferguson forum and ask the experts. There is a guy who calles himself Big Dean who knows all things I wish I could know abot Massey Ferguson.
