I came acrossed a General parts tractor today. Is there any market for these tractors? It is incomplete but still some good parts. If any one needs something let me know and I might try to get it. I may get it as a package deal with two f-20's that I want for my own use. I hate to see the general sit but I have no use for it. Thanks.

I'm looking for rear wheels and the centers. Would this "parts" tractor have these?

Proper name is "The General" and our threshing show is raffling a 1940 model for our 2006 show.
$1.00 will get you a chance at the fully restored tractor.
Let me know if you would like a ticket or two. Or more.

Cletrac (The Cleveland Tractor Company) built only one wheel tractor, the GG "General". This was also sold by Montgomery Wards under their name. It was a single front tire tricycle tractor. It had a bit longer frame than the HG crawler that immediatly followed it. (The first letter was the model order from Cletrac, the second letter G stood for gas. General stood for general purpose, the same way John Deere used GP on theirs..After a year or so, Cletrac sold this tractor to B.F.Avery.

Bottom line, this tractor isn"t a General anymore than the Duke"s of Hazzard"s orange car ("the General Lee") was a General.

Who are you responding to in your post? The tractor in the photo certainly is a General GG (by Cletrac) albeit the wrong colored wheels, and if the tin is yellow then that should probably be Cletrac Orange, but the tractor is a Cletrac General GG regardless of the paint I would say.
