hello
I'm wondering how to static time the injection pump on my Deutz F4l/515/5. It has a coupler driven Bosch inline jerk pump. I want to know what markings to line up when installing the pump coupler when the engine is on No.1 cylinder TDC compression stoke. Also need to know if the cylinders are numbered rear to front or front to rear.

Thanks,
Russ

hello. I would like to know if there are any marks to line up for static timing the pump. Or how do I get it to be at about 23 degrees? thanks, Russ

Look at the clutch housing, there should be a whole on left side. For normal, there are some marks on the flywheel.

Cylinders are marked rear to front. Ignition is 1-3-4-2. Injection starts at 22-24°

Sorry made a mistake - it"s a F4L-514/5 NOT A F4L515/5. 1963 year.
