I'm considering buying a Long 350 which currently has turf tires on it. The dealer has a set of new 14.9X28 on rims which would fit but are a size or two larger than standard. Would this be a problem? Also, any info on horsepower, live pto likelihood, 1st gear ground speed (I'd like to till with it), and general reputation would be appreciated. It's been sitting a couple of years so he's going to get it running so I can try it out.

My next door neighbor is looking for a rollingworm gear and rod to repair the steering on his Long 350. He's had the tractor since about '75 and does all his own work on it. I'll get him to read your question. He isn't much for computers, but I may be able to get him to dictate a response to your question. In the meantime, I'd appreciate knowing where your seller gets his parts.

It is 32 pto hp. It should be able to handle a tiller without to much problem. It will have live hydraulics and live PTO. If properly maintained it
can be a fair tractor. It will not tolerate starting fluid, so the themostarting system must be kept in working order. 12 X 28 tires are more factory 13.6 X 28 should be as large as you would want to go and keep your ground speed down.
