I have no hydraulic pressure or steering

I recently split a 445 Long tractor and replaced the clutch that was gone. I installed a new throw out bearing and rear seal since it was leaking. All new fuel line, oil change and new fuel filters.

The tractor starts and runs fine but I have no hydraulic pressure to lift the 3 points arms or work the power steering. Any ideas? The trans. is full of fluid and just by looking at the piping beleive that this trans fluid is my hydraualic fluid for my power steering/3 points arms?

I am assuming i have air in the system since I had to split the tractor to replace the clutch. I loosened the bolts on the outlet side of the pump and I have fluid spraying out. I also loosened the bolts on the powersteering cylinder and I have fluid.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thank you

This may sound silly, but it worked for me once. Jack up the front end of the tractor and with it running at one third to one half throttle, steer the tractor from side to side several times. This may push out enough of the air to allow the hyd. oil to begin flowing. Good luck!

I think the long 445 is the same as a Universal445? If so after splitting the tractor for clutch repair the front (timing gear driven) pumps will have to be bled. Usually disconnecting the outlet pipe on the pumps and starting the engine does the trick, have had to prime the pumps sometimes by pouring oil in to them. Hope this helps.
