Power King tractor with K-series 14HP Kohler engine not getting fire to the plug. It has an ignition system w/out points. I have put new coil,& something called a Trigger, or Tagger switch and have tested all the other electrical components that I can tell and still nothing. I'm getting fire through everything except to the plug. Anyone have any ideas? Thank You.

You say... "have tested all the other electrical components that I can tell and still nothing. I'm getting fire through everything except to the plug"

I HOPE you don't mean you are seeing BATTERY voltage at the coil, or trigger!

This is an unusual "CD" ignition system, self-powered by AC voltage from the stator windings under the flywheel, which is rectified, and stored in a capacitor, until the trigger senses the approach of the ug on the flywheel, and "dumps" the energy stored in the capacitor into the special coil.

There should be NO connection between the tractor's 12-Volt system and the ignition system.

The IS a "KILL" connection from the special coil to the ignition switch, which only allows the ignition switch to short the ignition system to ground to shut down the engine. Battery power is NEVER fed to the coil

If you HAVE been feeding battery power to the system, likely you have destroyed the trigger module, and perhaps the special "coil".
