I have been looking for this co-op#2 for a long time. My father had one that my grandfather had bought new (which we eventually had to sell). I was going to get one for my father and my son to restore and take to shows, but my father just past away. I would still like to buy a co-op#2 so that my son and I could make some memories that my father and I had when I was a kid. Thank you for any info that you may have about purchasing one.

Somewhere in the archives someone posted that the star after the 2 was only on the "early" production, that the later production omitted the star...but he didn't state what years were involved, and I'm not even sure it was on this website.
If there is a comprehensive year-serial no. list it's not generally known. Arthurdale accounts say that no production records have been found (as of probably 4-5 years ago) and a local newspaper account (6-06) states much of Nat'l Farm Mach'y Coopt've's records in Shelbyville were lost in a fire in the 50's.
It's always possible Diana Meyers has some info; she reportedly put together a comprehensive account, and her address (from 1998, I think) is in the archives somewhere, but I've been reluctant to try to contact her, just to satisfy my curiousity.

I'll see if I can post a photo sunday. It is simular to that one but believe the grill is slightly diff. When I did research a few years ago found it was made by the Farmers Union I believe.Chrysler drive train etc.Never did find any serial to year info.Fellow who had it was told it was a 37 but after sitting 30 year he was not sure anymore. For some reason this tractor was painted yellow. The few I have seen were red.
Thanks for any info
Jake

Serial # in reply to jakemb, 11-11-2006 20:39:58
On mine, the serial # is stamped into the top surface of the HEAVY flatiron RH frame rail, just to the rear of the engine flywheel housing area.
