This tractor will run but barely. Throttle won't advance without smothering. I'm thinking the engine time is wrong because Fly Wheel (we have never broken tractor into, but before us who knows?) or some other component have been installed wrong. Which would make correct timing of engine impossible.
Even after fresh Over-Haul, New Carb, New Manifold, new points, plugs & wires, Rotor cap & button, & other stuff I can't recall. Tractor runs no better than before anything was done.
Several reputable mechanics haved tried to make it run correctly without success.

Many times the tractor comes for sale because previous owner messed it up. Could be more serious like camshaft timing, insufficient valve clearence, bad head gasket, etc. Do a compression test, it will help you pinpoint the problem and maybe even tell you whether or not its even worth monkeying with the engine.

Do you have a magneto or distributor? Both are timed to fire tdc static timeing. When running the timeing advances. You impluse or advance in the distributor may not be working. Could other tings too.

Forgot to mention Distributor was changed out with a used one from Mr Williams' Salvage Yard in MS. No difference after the change.

I didn't receive e-mail concerning Vacuum gauage.
New headgasket was installed during over-haul.
